A button… what will come to your mind, when you hear the word „button“? Maybe nothing at all, it is such an ordinary word. Or maybe a glimpse - plastic buttons, glass buttons or „I have lost one! No, I have only zippers…!?“ Unlike the Loverners and Velraners, it was a different league. In the Louis Pergaud´s novel War of the Buttons it was crowded by buttons. And what about collectors, such enormous mass of buttons on one place! Some collectors are interested in buttons as whole, some specialize for example on uniform buttons. During the First Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1938) every institution or organization had its uniform. Not only army, but also police, town guards, boyscouts, miners, firemen, railway employees and even undertakers! What a paradise for a collector!
